Born in February 2018, Meraki Press was an idea brought to life by a heartbroken writer, a passionate illustrator, and a busybody friend who appointed herself as an agent.

Mission: Meraki Press is a Malaysian publishing company with a focus on English-language works by Asian youth. We aim to amplify these voices by providing a platform through which they can publish their literature and art.

Vision: We strive to nurture a love for reading, writing, and creating art in the Malaysian community and provide much-needed Asian representation in the wider literary world

Marketing
Now residing in the UK, Malie is obsessed with her cats, she loves the colours grey and sage green and enjoys having pineapple on pizza. Oh, and she wrote An Ocean of Grey and A Wave of Dreams!

Operations
The self-appointed agent, she is a mechanical engineering graduate who has a knack for business and event planning.
Nadhirah

Nadhirah is a creative writing graduate with her ear to the ground of the Malaysian literary community. Her passions lie in diversifying English-language publishing and watching cooking tutorials of dishes she’ll never make.
Design
Rizal is an illustrator with a firm belief in adopting the sponge mentality when it comes to creativity. He mostly enjoys the company of his cats, collection of isopodes, and his leopard gecko, Lua.
